THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

Written By HENRY LEWIS, JONATHAN SAYER & HENRY SHIELDS

JANUARY 24 – FEBRUARY 16, 2025

The Cornley Drama Society are putting on a 1920s murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong… does! The accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences!

This Olivier Award-winning comedy and Broadway smash hit is a hilarious hybrid of Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes. Welcome to opening night of The Murder at Haversham Manor where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. With an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines), it’s “A RIOTOUS EXPLOSION OF COMEDY!” (The Daily Beast) and “TONS OF FUN FOR ALL AGES!” (HuffPost).

“A GUT-BUSTING HIT!”
The New York Times

“IT’S AS THOUGH THE MOUSETRAP HAS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY MONTY PYTHON”

“A MASTERPIECE OF MALFUNCTION”
The Times

“COMIC GOLD!”
